Everyone running robots in their manufacturing plants today knows that up keep and maintenance is an important

part of insuring up time in their manufacturing processes. One of those maintenance items is yearly changing of

the robots batteries in the base of the robot. These batteries typically 4 D-cells or 4 c-cell batteries are expensive and time consuming to replace. In addition when battery change is performed the robot must have power on in order to prevent loss of the robots home position. Battery changes need to be performed regularly to insure batteries are

good in the event of loss of power to your facility. So we change the batteries. Throwing away 4 D-cell or 4 C-cell

batteries for every robot your operating. The battery box is generally located on the base of the robot very near to

the ground meaning the maintenance personal must sit on the ground next to the robot or bend all the way down

while they remove the battery box screws and the four batteries replace the 4 batteries and resecure the battery box cover while the robot has power turned on.

Kobatb, LLC's solution is a direct battery box replacement that utilizes a snap in 18 Volt rechargeable Lithium Ion

battery that plugs in directly to the battery box that includes visible led lights to let maintenance personal know if the battery is running low and requires charging or replacement which is optional. There are two ports at the top of the box external to the battery box. One port is a charging port one port is to allow a portable battery pack (sold separately) to be plugged into the battery box with power off to robot thereby saving the robots home position while allowing maintenance personal to simply unplug the battery in the base of the robot and plug in a fully charged battery. Saving time and money in the maintenance of your robot and always being assured you will not loose the robots home position in the event of loss of power to your manufacturing plant.
